Join us this Lent for 7 weeks "in the Den":

A fort in the woods, a base for adventures

The safe zone in a game of tig (or tag!)

A place of hiddenness where transformation begins

A gathering space in a home, usually to relax and converse together

We will explore each of these "dens" as we travel through our own stories alongside some biblical characters in their encounters with God.

Theme's we'll explore:

Beloved
Wrestle
Honest
Glory
Silence
Barefoot

We will then do a trust fall from Maundy Thursday through the Easter weekend, ending with an invitation to pull up a chair and sit down at the feast.

You can do this on your own, or sign up and go through together with a friend. There will be opportunities to connect with others on Zoom and through the community chat if you wish.

What to Expect

Each week, beginning on Ash Wednesday, one theme will be "unlocked." You will receive an email inviting you to open up the material for the week.

There will be invitations to explore each theme through scripture, your own story, liturgy, various forms of art and prayer. The artistic style of these invitations will be different each week, depending who has contributed but there will always be a passage from the Bible, a reflection on the passage, and a practice to help you pray.

You can then interact with God and others around the material at your own pace throughout the week.

About Jenny

I love to create space for people to encounter God in their daily experience of life.

For nineteen years I have had the privilege of offering guided retreats, discernment processes, one-to-one and group spiritual direction in order to help people notice and respond to the movement of God in and around them.

I received my masters in spiritual formation and soul care from Talbot School of Theology in Southern California, and now reside in the beautiful west of Scotland with my husband and three children.

I believe that if we can bring our questions to God and each other with openness and curiosity, we will find that he has much more to say to us than we might have originally imagined.
